Icelandic ants

A total of sixteen different ant species have been found in Iceland. Of those only five have gained a permanent foothold here. These five species are: black garden ants, pharaoh ants, ghost ants, Roger´s ants and the Hercules ants. These ants are all considered to have come to Iceland through the actions of humans. This project aims to locate and document these ants.
